Hoodies for Humanity. Sat, Jan 22nd at The Mews.

Just a quick reminder about a show we have coming up at The Vaudeville Mews. It’s goin’ down on Saturday, January 22nd at 9 pm. I’m very excited about this one, because we are rockin’ with my favorite two artists in the DMI, Young Tripp, and Maxilla Blue. Also playing is Neon Current who’s starting to build a buzz of their own. And last but not least, Ace (Waterloo, IA). This show will set the tone for hip hop shows in the D in 2011, and honestly will be hard to match all year. Make sure you come out and rock with us.

Peace.

Two years ago Hoodies for Humanity provided one of the hardest rocked hip hop shows of the year for the city of Des Moines, while also providing countless hoodies for Iowa’s homeless youth donated to IHYC. This year, Maxilla Blue along with Richie Daggers of D.C.M return from 2008′s fightcard to beat the wood out of the stage once again, this time accompanied by Young Tripp (D.C.M), Neon Current, prettygirlhatemachine & Ace (Waterloo), all of whom hold a significant foothold in their scene’s movement and approach their craft with a dedication illustrated in each performance, at the expense of the listeners’ necks.

As always, the five dollar admission fee may be substituted with the donation of a clean hoodie in wearable condition. Hoodies collected will be donated to a local charity to benefit the youth and those less fortunate in the winter months… The show is dedicated to progression in one’s local scene, the decimation of wack rap, and the notion of lending a hand to a brother or sister, as you would have them do for you. For us, its always hoodie weather. Come rock in it.
